Reporting issues with street lighting, traffic bollards and signs

The Council maintains the lighting and signage on all public streets and car parks, excluding those on the A2 and A20. This includes street lights, bollards to control traffic, zebra crossing poles and traffic signs.

The Council does not maintain any of these that are on private land, including Housing Association land.

Traffic signals and speed cameras in the borough are installed and maintained by Transport for London (TfL), as well as everything on the A2 and A20.

You can report a light or sign that is:

  • broken or missing a cover
  • exposed wiring
  • electrical fault
  • knocked/leaning over or dented
  • light on during the day
  • light out
  • light shining into a private property
