Report a dangerous structure

A dangerous structure is any structure that can be a risk to your health and safety.

If you feel a building or structure is dangerous and could cause injury to you or other people, you should contact us so we can carry out an inspection.

Make sure to give us as much detail as possible, including:

  • the address or location of the structure
  • your name and contact number (this will be kept confidential)
  • the name and contact details of the owner of the structure (if known)
  • the nature of the structure – the number of storeys it has and its use
  • the nature of the danger, including a description of the damage and whether movement is visible (take photographs if you can)
  • the nature of the surrounding area – is it near to a road, public space or a sensitive use like a school?
