Anyone who completes the survey has a chance to win a £50 Bexleyheath Shopping Voucher. All you need to do is take the Bexleyheath town centre survey and you’ll automatically be entered into the prize draw.

Bexleyheath town centre survey

London Borough of Bexley and key partners including Broadway Shopping Centre, Enjoy Bexleyheath Business Improvement District, New River, Odyssey Trust for Education, Creative Bexley and Transform Bexley Borough Partnership have formed a working group to look at ways to revitalise Bexleyheath.

The aim is to create a more welcoming, vibrant and safe place for everyone both day and night as part of the ‘High Streets for All Challenge’.

Bexley was chosen as one of 35 projects across the capital to receive seed funding from the Mayor of London of £20,000. The funding will be used to engage local people and test ideas to help address the modern high street issues such as changing shopping habits and how people now use the high street.

To kick start the project, we need your help as local residents and want to hear what you would like to see in our main town centre. In return, anyone who completes the survey could be in with a chance of winning a £50 Bexleyheath High Street voucher.

Cabinet Member for Growth, Cllr Cafer Munur said:

We know that many of our businesses were severely affected by the pandemic but also that some people have rediscovered their high street through shopping locally. We have an opportunity now to breath some new life into Bexleyheath and we need your input.'

'This is a chance for local people to have their say and to help us find ways to boost the high street.  We want to provide opportunities for local people to come together by encouraging more cultural activities and through generating a thriving mix of high street activity at day and night-time. Please get involved in our survey and let us hear about your views and experiences so we can make Bexleyheath a better place for everyone to enjoy.“

The survey will run from Monday 13 until Sunday 26 September. During this time members of the Bexleyheath Town Partnership will be asking people to complete surveys on-site within the Broadway shopping centre and on the pedestrianised Broadway. There will also be an opportunity to get more involved via focus groups and one-to-one interviews.
