Bridge joint replacement on Carlyle Road, Thamesmead

Work to replace a worn-out bridge joint on the Carlyle Road junction of the elevated roundabout is taking place from Monday 7 August.

The works are to be carried out during the daytime by the Council’s term highways maintenance contractor, J B Riney. The work is expected to take up to three weeks to complete.

Carlyle Road will be closed between the elevated roundabout and Bentham Road roundabout. The closure will be in place 24 hours a day with diversion route signage in place. The diversion route is Eastern Way, Central Avenue, Carlyle Road. In both directions.

Buses will also be put on diversion with signage at bus stops. Please check with TfL before you travel.

The London Borough of Bexley apologises for any inconvenience and disruption that may be caused by the work.
