Have your say on Selective Licensing in Belvedere

Consultation into a Selective Licensing scheme in Belvedere started this week (22 January).

Selective Licensing is where private-rented properties within a designated area are required to be licensed.

Cabinet Member for Communities and Housing, Cllr Sue Gower MBE said:

Selective Licensing schemes are designed to ensure that rented properties are managed responsibly and help to improve the standard of living for tenants.

Iā€™d urge anyone with links to the area ā€“ whether as a tenant, homeowner, landlord or local business ā€“ to read the proposal and complete the consultation. We'll then be able to consider all options and ensure that we make the right decision for local people.ā€

The consultation will run until the 3 April.
