We are always looking at ways to improve our digital services and from today (13 August) Bexley residents can book and pay for special collections of bulky household items online via our upgraded reporting tool.
Our competitively priced service for collection of bulky items such as sofas, mattresses, wardrobes and large appliances like refrigerators, washing machines, and cookers is available on our bulky collection page.
We launched our new streamlined online reporting tool earlier this year to enable residents to request a number of waste and recycling services in one place and we are continuing to improve it, adding more functionality, and increasing the number of services that can be requested.
Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, Cllr Richard Diment said:
It’s really important that we make it as easy as possible for our residents to access waste and recycling services. We know that getting up to date information and having the ability to report service issues so they can be dealt with quickly is critical. As an organisation we are constantly looking at customer service improvements and the next phase of this initiative will be to provide residents with an online reporting tool that they can use to apply for assisted collections and clinical waste collections.”
Residents can use our online reporting tool to access the following waste and recycling services:
- book and pay for special bulky collections
- check bin collection days
- add waste collection days to a smartphone or computer online calendar (they update automatically when changes are made)
- report missed bin collections
- request new rubbish and recycling bins
- request rubbish and recycling replacement bins
- request the removal of rubbish and recycling bins (without needing to request a new one)
- subscribe to the Garden Waste Service
