Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Barnehurst Avenue, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable gas mains replacement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Barnehurst Avenue at the junction with Colyers Lane, Erith
  • No waiting no loading (parking restrictions) in Barnehurst Avenue on both sides of carriageway from the junction with Colyers Lane to the junction with Northumberland Avenue, Erith
  • Restrictions to be removed when not required
  1. The Order will come into effect on 9 April and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
  • Traffic on Erith Road, Brook Street, Bexley Road
  • Colyers Lane, Northumberland Way, Barnehurst Avenue and reverse
  • Traffic on Colyers Lane
  • Merewood Road and Barnehurst Avenue and reverse
  1. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works
  2. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Water Mains Replacement Scheme – various road adjoining Westwood Lane, Welling - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable MGroup Ltd on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their water mains replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic in roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order.  These restrictions will be for 50 meters into and including the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order. These restrictions will be for 50 meters on both sides of the road at and including the junction with Westwood Lane, Welling
  • Restrictions to be removed when not required
  1. The Order will come into effect on 9 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 months
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided as localised diversions will be in place
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016

The Ridge, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable MGroup Ltd on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their water mains replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic – The Ridge, Bexley entire length of the road
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition – The Ridge, Bexley entire length of the road both sides of the carriageway.
  1. The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 49 working days
  2. Whilst the works are in progress no division routes will be provided as this is a dead-end road. Access to be always maintained for emergency services and residents
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable water mains replacement by M Group Limited on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) in Westwood Lane from the roundabout at the junction with Wendover Way/Ingleton Avenue to the junction with Bellegrove Road, Welling
  • No waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) for the entire Length of Westwood Lane, Welling
  • Restrictions to be removed when not required
  1. The Order will come into effect on 9 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 18 Months
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via,
  • Bellegrove Road, Welling Way, Rochester Way, Lingfield Crescent, Millbrook Avenue, Northumberland Avenue, Sutherland Avenue, Westwood Lane and reverse
  • Bellegrove Road, Hook Lane and reverse
  • Localised diversions will be signposted as and when required

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable MGroup Ltd on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their water mains replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic on Kimberley Drive, Sidcup at and including the junction with Longmead Drive, Sidcup for 50 meters
  • Prohibition of traffic on Goodwin Drive, Sidcup at and including the junction with Longmead Drive, Sidcup for 50 meters
  • Prohibition of traffic on Onslow Drive, Sidcup at and including the junction with Longmead Drive, Sidcup for 50 meters
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in roads detailed in Schedule One of this Order. These restrictions will be for 50 meters on both sides of the road at and including the junction with Longmead Drive, Sidcup until otherwise detailed in Schedule One of this Order
  • Restrictions to be removed when not required.
  1. The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 234 days

  • Prohibition of traffic on Hollies Avenue, Sidcup from No. 7 to the junction with Halfway Street, Sidcup
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition in Hollies Avenue, Sidcup from No. 7 to the junction with Halfway Street, Sidcup
  1. The Order will come into effect on 7 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 17 days
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
  • Halfway Street, Brookend Road, Old Farm Avenue, Hollies Avenue and vice versa
  • Halfway Street, Old Farm Road West, Old Farm Avenue, Hollies Avenue and vice versa
  • Localised diversions will be signposted.

The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable MGroup Ltd on behalf of Thames Water to undertake their water mains replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic on Basing Drive, Bexley – entire length of the road
  • Waiting restriction in Basing Drive, Bexley – entire length of the road both sides of the carriageway.
  1. The Order will come into effect on 2 April 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 83 working days
  2. Whilst the works are in progress no diversion routes will be provided as this is a dead-end road. Access to always be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
