Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Gresham Close, Bexley - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Mains replacement by M Group Water on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) for the entire length of Gresham Close, Bexley
    - no waiting no loading (Parking Restrictions) for the entire length of Gresham Close, Bexley
  2. The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 71 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available. Access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Kentish Road, Belvedere - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable installation of a water main by M Group Water on behalf of Thames Water they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic in Kentish Road from the junction with Abbey Crescent to the junction with Orchard Road, Belvedere
    - no waiting no loading in Kentish Road from the junction with Abbey Crescent to the junction with Orchard Road, Belvedere
  2. The Order will come into effect on 13 July 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 29 days.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
    - Kentish Road, Picardy Road, Abbey Crescent and reverse
    - Orchard Road, Lessness Park, Heron Hill, St Augustine’s Road, Gilbert Road, Picardy Street, Picardy Road, Abbey Crescent and reverse
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

North Cray Road, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf London Borough of Bexley, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic (northbound) on North Cray Road from the junction with Ruxley Close to opposite 184 Ellenborough Road, Bexley
    - waiting restriction and Loading restriction North Cray Road from the junction with Ruxley Close to opposite 184 Ellenborough Road, Bexley
  2. The Order will come into effect on 6 July 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 days (overnight) from 1900 to 0200.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
    - Maidstone Road, Birchwood Road, Leyton Cross Road, Oakfield Lane, Old Bexley Lane, Dartford Road, Vicarage Road, North Cray Road.
    - access to be maintained to Ruxley Close for residents and emergency services
  4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

Camden Road, North Glade, South Glade, Bexley - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable a welfare unit placement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks the effects of which will be the introduction of:
    - prohibition of traffic in Camden Road at the junction with The South Glade, Bexley as and when works require
    - prohibition of traffic for the entire length of The North Glade, Bexley as and when works require
    - pedestrian walkway closure for the entire length of The South Glade, Bexley
    - no waiting no loading on both sides of carriageway from outside and opposite 32 to outside and opposite 50 Camden Road, Bexley
  2. The Order will come into effect on 6 July 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.
  3. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:

The Bexley (Bexley Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. 16) Traffic Order 2026

  1. Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 29 July 2026 made the above titled Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
  2. The general effect of the above-mentioned Amendment Order would be to amend the Bexley (Bexley Station) (Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018:
    a) remove the existing Resident Permit Parking Bay in front of No. 2 Bradbourne Road Bexley
    b) the removed part of the bay will be replaced with a single yellow line restriction of ’10am and 11am Monday to Friday’
    c) there is a loss of a single parking space
  3. Copies of the Order which becomes operational on 6 July 2026, the corresponding Parent Order (and the Orders that have amended those Orders); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order and plan which indicate the length of roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, DA6 7AT.   4. Disposal of Open Space Land

Notice Is Hereby Given that The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Bexley (the Council) in exercise of their powers under section 123 of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980) intend to dispose of the land known as the Clubhouse Premises, Northumberland Heath Recreation Ground, Sussex Road, Erith (the Disposal Land) by way of a lease together with such ancillary rights as may be required.

The Disposal Land, for the purposes of identification is the area edged red on plan number BVS8780, which extends to approximately 245 square metres. The Disposal Land is to be disposed by way of a lease for a term of 5 years.

The Disposal Land plan is available for inspection on request by telephoning the Council on 020 3045 4521 (ref 9814892) between the hours of 9:30am and 5:30pm Mondays to Fridays or by e-mailing Legal-Conveyancing@bexley.gov.uk.
