Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2026

Methuen Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Intention

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Southern Gas Networks to install a new connection in Methuen Road at the side of 2 Hawthorn Road, Bexleyheath they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic on Methuen Road, Bexleyheath at the side of 2 Hawthorn Road, Bexleyheath
  1. The Order will come into effect on 24 August 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 days.
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
  • Royal Oak Road, Oaklands Road and reverse
  1. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  2. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Pickford Lane and side roads, Bexleyheath - Notice of Making an Order

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable gas mains replacement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • No waiting no loading in Pickford Lane from Shakespeare Road to the junction with Station Approach, Bexleyheath
  • No waiting no loading on both sides of the carriageway for a distance of 25 meters from and including the junction with Pickford Lane for roads as detailed in schedule one of this order
  • Bag over the zebra crossing beacons to temporarily suspend the pedestrian crossing on Pickford Lane at its junction with Orchard Close, Bexleyheath.
  • Bag over the zebra crossing beacons to temporarily suspend the pedestrian crossing on Pickford Lane at its junction with Station Approach, Bexleyheath.
  1. The Order will come into effect on 13 August 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 14 weeks.
  2. Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be required
  3. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
  4. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

  • Prohibition of traffic on Boundary Road at the side of 31 Blackfen Road, Sidcup
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition from 15 Blackfen Road to the junction with Raeburn Road, Sidcup
  1. The Order will come into effect on 17 August 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 13 days.
  2. Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be provided via:
  • Gordon Road, Orchard Rise West, Chester Road, Blackfen Road, and vice versa.
  1. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

  1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable highway improvement works by a council contractor on behalf of The London Borough of Bexley they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
  • Prohibition of traffic around the Crittals Corner Roundabout, Sidcup
  • Prohibition of traffic on Cray Road, Sidcup at the junction with Crittals Corner, Sidcup
  • Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition around the Crittals Corner Roundabout, Sidcup also on Cray Road at the junction with Crittals Corner Roundabout, Sidcup
  • No egress or ingress in any side road adjacent to the Crittals Corner Roundabout, Sidcup
  • Removal of the weight limit restriction in Foots Cray High Street

Restrictions to be removed when not required.

  1. The Order will come into effect on 24 August 2026 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 days (overnight from 2200 to 0500)
