Roadworks from Belvedere to Dartford

Road closed and diversion signs on the road

Work to install a high-voltage power cable from Norman Road in Belvedere to Little Brook Power Station in Dartford is likely to cause disruption to traffic in the surrounding areas.

Cory Riverside Energy has instructed utilities service provider JSM Group to install the 132-cable for its Riverside 2 recycling plant.

The cable will run through Queens Road, South Road, Northend Road and Thames Road.

JSM Group will carry out the work under a mix of lane closures and road closures. The Council will provide updates on its website and social media channels as the work progresses.

Work has begun on Norman Road, Picardy Manorway, Bronze Age Way and Dartford’s Highway.

A lane closure is currently in place from 'The De Luci Fish Roundabout' to 'The Cobb' horse roundabout, lane 1, northbound towards Thamesmead. Variable message boards are in place. Residents local to the roadworks have been written to.

It is anticipated the work on Bronze Age Way will be completed on 14 February 2024.
