In an exciting step forward, Bexley’s Economic Growth Strategy, the Council’s vision and action plan for achieving future prosperity in the Borough, will be presented to a range of partners at an event in Rose Bruford College on Monday 23 March.
Building on a decade of success in jobs, development and infrastructure, the new strategy – 'Ready for tomorrow, growing for a better future', sets out how Bexley will deliver inclusive growth. Following a public consultation, it was formally adopted by the Council’s Public Cabinet earlier this year (on 23 February). One of its first outcomes, a cultural strategy, recognising the value of Bexley’s arts and culture and setting out how this can be used to support future growth, was also approved.
Cllr Cafer Munur, Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Place Shaping, said:
We are ambitious for our borough and this partner event at Rose Bruford College demonstrates our determination to deliver growth and real benefits for local people. We will work hand in hand with public and private sector partners, businesses large and small to create local jobs, housing and new amenities while also enriching our heritage and arts."
