We know that crime devastates the lives of individuals, families, and communities. The Bexley Community Safety Partnership (BCSP) aims to ensure people who live, work, study, or visit the London Borough of Bexley feel secure, respected, and supported.
The BCSP brings together local agencies, organisations, and residents to tackle the root causes of crime and disorder. Creating a safe and thriving community is a shared responsibility – requiring collaboration, compassion, and commitment. Our approach is proactive and inclusive: we focus on prevention, early intervention, and fair enforcement to reduce harm and build resilience across Bexley.
This strategy outlines our collective vision for a safer Bexley. It aligns with national priorities and local safeguarding plans, ensuring that our efforts are coordinated, evidence-based, and responsive to the needs of our community. Whether addressing anti-social behaviour, supporting victims, or reducing reoffending, we are guided by a commitment to fairness, transparency, and impact.
We recognise the challenges posed by economic pressures, limited resources, and a quickly modernising environment, but we remain steadfast in our mission. We will make best use of resource and strategic decisions to ensure we are addressing barriers to safety; towards a place where people can go about their everyday lives, day or night, confident in the knowledge that this is a place where people treat each other fairly, with respect, and they are safe from harm or the effects of crime and disorder.
We have already achieved many successes, but we know that challenges remain, and we want to do more. By working together – across sectors and with our communities – we will build on this work to make Bexley even safer.
