Under the Serious Violence Duty, introduced through the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, councils and partner organisations are required to work together to prevent and reduce serious violence. You can read more about how we do this in our dedicated Serious Violence Strategy.

• fire and rescue services
• education and voluntary sector partners

Together, we develop and deliver a local strategy based on evidence and community need.
