Data can mean different things to different people and different services.  In this strategy, when we refer to data, we mean information about people, things and systems.  Whilst this can cover paper and digital records, the primary focus of this strategy is digital information.

This strategy has been developed using the results of a limited data maturity assessment.

In addition, this strategy takes into account existing commitments made by the council.
