Asbestos
When broken up, asbestos is a serious hazard as inhaling asbestos fibres can cause respiratory diseases.
Asbestos waste cannot be collected through household waste and recycling services.
When reporting an asbestos removal/issue please make sure it falls within the following categories:
- construction/asbestos removal
- asbestos located inside your house
- asbestos located in a neighbouring house
- suspected asbestos dust in the air
- neighbour removing asbestos

If you find any rubbish left by the road that you suspect contains asbestos, don’t touch it and report a fly-tipping issue immediately.
