Arrange a bulky or large item collection
Have you got large or bulky items you need to get rid of? We make it easy. You can book a one‑off collection at a time that suits you and let us take care of the heavy lifting.
How it works
Simply book and pay for a collection when you need it. On the day, just place your items outside in an accessible spot — we’ll handle the rest.
Please note: we cannot collect items from inside your home or from rear gardens without side access.

What we can collect:
- Furniture (sofas, beds, tables, wardrobes, etc.)
- Large electrical appliances (washing machines, fridges, cookers, dishwashers, tumble dryers)
- DIY waste and general bulky household rubbish
What we can't collect:
- pianos
- large quantities of rubble
- garden waste (there is a separate regular service for this)
- hazardous or dangerous waste (there are special collections for this)
- clinical waste (there are special collections for these)
- large amounts of black sacks of house/garden clearances
- commercial waste
- textiles (there is a separate free collection service for this)
Pricing
Collections start from £48.50 (or £65.50 for Saturday collections). Your final cost depends on the number and size of items.
If you receive a pension, you can have more items collected for the same price, giving you even better value.
Other ways to dispose of items
If your items are reusable or you’re happy to transport them yourself, you can:
- Take them to a recycling centre for free where suitable items will be re-used at the Community Re-use Shop
- Donate them through reuse groups such as Freegle and
- Give them to local charity shops, including:
This service is for household waste only. We are unable to collect bulky waste from businesses.
Terms and conditions
- Collections may take place any time after 6am on your chosen day.
- Items must be left neatly and safely in the agreed location (not on the public highway).
- Cancellations are accepted up to one working day before your collection.
- Once payment is made, bookings cannot be changed — you’ll need to cancel and rebook.
- Only the items listed in your booking will be collected.
- Proof of pension may be required to receive discounted rates.
- All information provided must be accurate; incorrect details may result in cancellation without refund.
