Welcome to the Bexley Magazine

We had an eventful start to the year in Bexley. Storm Henk, followed quickly by Storm Isha, kept our highways, waste and parks teams extremely busy out of hours. Their hard work and quick reactions to storm damage helped to keep the borough safe for residents.

In this edition of the magazine, we have information on waste and recycling. By choosing to recycle right, you are not only doing your bit for the environment and saving recyclables ending up at an incinerator, you will be helping us to save money that can be spent on other vital Council services.

As we edge into spring we have a number of features in this magazine about getting out and about and enjoying the borough’s wonderful parks, including an item on how you could get involved with the volunteer park groups we work with.

We are fortunate to have such a green borough with so much on offer. We have also highlighted different ways we continue to encourage healthy lifestyles, whether that is a change to diet, a gentle stroll or a class at one of our leisure centres. Now could be the perfect time to make that lifestyle change.

I hope you enjoy this spring edition of the Bexley Magazine.
