11. Centralised Booking System

For the 2024 to 2025 HAF Programme, we continued using the centralised booking system, HolidayActivities. This system helps ensure that only eligible children can access funded places on our programme. Over time, our providers have become confident in using the platform. It provides accurate data on bookings and attendance, including which schools have the highest uptake and the backgrounds of participating children. This information is essential for completing data returns to the DfE.

Schools in Bexley have fully embraced the HolidayActivities booking system, with 100% now registered. Schools can either automatically order vouchers ahead of each holiday period or choose to do so manually. We continue to offer support for any new staff, and the HolidayActivities support team remains available to assist with any technical issues.

The system also helps us keep schools updated on providers with available spaces, enabling them to encourage parents to book. Additionally, it allows the HAF team to monitor bookings and assist providers who may be struggling to fill places.

When surveyed, the majority of our parents felt that booking onto the provision through the booking system was easy (5 rating).

HolidayActivities are also working on translations of vouchers and instructions for parents whose first language is not English.
