- Plans for 2025 to 2026 HAF Programme Year
18. Plans for 2025 to 2026 HAF Programme Year
We remain committed to developing and expanding our HAF Programme to reach even more children and young people across Bexley. Building on the successes of 2024 to 2025, we are reviewing feedback and attendance data to identify areas where further improvements can be made—particularly in increasing engagement among secondary-aged participants and supporting families facing new or ongoing challenges.
For the 2025/26 programme year, we are also exploring new collaborations with local businesses, charities, and cultural organisations to diversify our offer and meet the needs of a wider group of families.
We are committed to increasing bookings and attendance for all HAF Providers, thus our community coordinator has set up an initiative to trial out taster sessions which promote HAF as a programme overall at schools which fall within the areas of greatest need.
Our community coordinator has also set up drop-in sessions in schools to meet with the those associated with HAF duties such as voucher issuing and admin, safeguarding teams, and pastoral teams.
A key focus for the upcoming year will be:
- Expanding targeted outreach to underrepresented groups,
- Enhancing youth-focused activities that are better tailored to the interests of older children and teens.
Our current providers will continue to build on existing partnerships, and we will encourage them to seek out new opportunities to deliver high-quality, inclusive, and engaging holiday programmes for all eligible children.
