Worried about childcare?
Bexley’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Easter Programme
Bexley’s HAF programme includes a wide range of fun activities for children from Reception to Year 11, including sports, dance, arts and crafts, drama and lots more.
Places are funded for families who receive benefits-related free school meals and attend a school in Bexley. Paid for places are also available. All staff and volunteers are experienced and DBS checked.
The Government has a scheme for parents to access childcare if their children are two years old or younger.
If your child is three or four years old, you could still be eligible for 30 hours’ free help from an approved provider every term time week funded by the government.
Parents are entitled to tax-free childcare for kids up to the age of 11 and can get cash from Universal Credit for children up to the age of 16.
Tax-free childcare is available to families where both parents are in work. Some people can claim up to £500 for each child every three months.
Universal Credit and Working Tax Credit provides extra support for families where the government gives the claimant extra money towards paying for childcare.
Claimants and their partner have to work at least 16 hours a week.
You can get Child Benefit if you are responsible for a child aged under 16, or if they are under 20 and in approved education or training.
