If where you live isn't suitable for wheelie bins or boxes, we'll give you clear sacks for recycling instead. Please ensure you place your bags out by 6 am on your collection day. Bags containing incorrect materials will not be collected.

Please place non-recyclable rubbish into black bags for collection, these bags will not be provided. 

Recycling bags

We’ll collect:

• paper and cardboard
• plastic packaging (plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays)
• glass bottles and jars
• food and drink cans

Please give your recyclables a quick rinse when you do the washing up.

We will not collect:

• cartons
• food waste
• garden waste
• nappies
• polystyrene
• textiles (clothes)

We will deliver the bags every 6 months. If you need more, complete the online form.

Contaminated bags

Our collection teams will put a contamination sticker on your bags if you:

• put the wrong kind of waste in the bag

What to do with rubbish that wasn’t collected

If your rubbish wasn’t collected because of a problem or was contaminated, you can:

• sort out the problem and store the rubbish until your next collection
• take it to a recycling centre for free
