16. Delivery plan and measuring success

The BCSP Board oversees the BCSP Delivery Plan, which is made up of the overarching themes of each of the six working groups’ Action Plans, and therefore covers:

  • anti-social behaviour
  • reducing reoffending
  • serious violence
  • violence against women and girls
  • domestic abuse
  • modern slavery

This is monitored on a quarterly basis and Groups can escalate challenges and good practice learning to the Board. The expectation is that at the end of this Strategy, all of the delivery plan themes should all be rated green for progress made, being more than 75% of the groups’ action plans have been achieved.

We will additionally measure success by the impact we see it has on the community. This, however, is more difficult to measure. We will do this by:

  • comparing the annual community safety survey resident’s feedback
  • analysing the changes to crime rates in the annual joint strategic assessment
  • undertaking community engagement to understand the changes they have noted and their feedback
