Future Bexley: transforming our borough together

We are committed to delivering high-quality services while ensuring value for money for every resident. While councils across the country face unexpected financial pressures, our goal is to protect the frontline services you rely on.

These practical changes are already working. We have confirmed £3.63 million in savings for the coming year, which is projected to grow to a total of over £18.5 million by 2030, after all costs are taken into account. By managing our budget responsibly, we ensure the Council stays financially stable so we can keep investing in a clean, safe and thriving Borough for the long term.

Through Future Bexley, we are upgrading how the Council works behind the scenes across three key areas:

  • Customer Service: Making it much quicker and simpler for you to contact us and strengthening online options to remove administrative costs
  • Health and Care: Working in close partnership and integrating with the NHS so that vulnerable children and adults receive further seamless, life-long support
  • Spending Wisely: Checking contracts, charges and Council buildings to ensure the best possible value for every pound spent
