9. Partnership campaigns
BCSP Partners will have numerous awareness days and weeks that they promote. The BCSP will seek to support these where possible. However, in recognition that it is not within our resource to promote every worthy campaign, we have agreed the following priority campaigns to complement the BCSP priority areas:
- Stalking Awareness Week (April)
- Knife Crime Awareness Week (May)
- ASB Awareness Week (June/July)
- Spiking Awareness Day (July)
- Bexley Community Safety Survey (September to October)
- National Hate Crime Awareness Week (October)
- Anti-Slavery Day (October)
- Autumn Nights, incl. Met police safety campaign (October to December)
- The 16 Days of Action against Gender-Based Violence (November to December)
- Winter Nights, including Charge Safe Campaign (December to January)
For partnership campaigns to be successful, they should be promoted widely and utilising all available communications channels. The impact of these campaigns should be measured to inform how the campaign should be run in the following year.
The community should ideally be involved in the design and deliver of these campaigns. Community groups and voluntary sector partners should be supported to deliver awareness and events as part of these campaigns.
