What is fostering?
Fostering means looking after a child who cannot live with their birth families, either for a short period or for the longer term. By becoming a foster carer, you can make a life-changing difference to a child or young person’s life.
Foster carers provide a welcoming and caring environment where children and young people will be safe from harm. You will help to meet the emotional, health and educational needs of our looked after children so they can reach their full potential.
We welcome applications from anyone who can provide a safe and nurturing family environment for a child or young person who needs it. Having diverse foster carers allow us to find the right placement for each of our looked after children.
To support you as a Bexley foster carer, we offer fantastic training, support and a generous allowance with great benefits to help you provide the best possible care to a vulnerable child.
I would like to give the children we have safety, happiness and love, and teach them how to look after themselves for independent living later in life, like cooking, cleaning, routine management and things they haven’t had for the future." Rob, a Bexley foster carer
