This December, Bexley proudly brought together our dedicated Host and Support Providers for a special event to reflect on the past year, share ideas for the future, and celebrate the incredible achievements we’ve accomplished together.

The gathering was an opportunity to discuss how we can continue supporting one another and improving services in the year ahead. It was also a chance to recognise the hard work and commitment that has made such a positive impact across our community.

Adding a festive touch, the event featured a lively quiz and an exciting raffle, with a beautiful hamper up for grabs bringing plenty of smiles and festive cheer!

Host and Support providers offer accommodation to young people aged 16 to 21 who are in Local Authority Care. This vital role gives young people a safe place to live while helping them develop the confidence and skills they need to move towards independent living.

As a provider, you offer a bedroom in your home and a level of support acting as a mentor rather than a foster carer. You’re not simply renting out a room, you’re providing guidance and encouragement that can change a young person’s future.

If you are interested in supporting young people in Bexley find out more and get involved by visiting What is Host and Support? or contacting us on 020 3045 4400.
