The event brought fostering families together for a day of friendship, relaxation and fun, with guests enjoying a barbecue, outdoor games and the opportunity to connect with others from the fostering community.
The annual gathering provided a valuable chance for carers and children to strengthen relationships, meet new friends and enjoy quality time together in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Throughout the day, families took part in a range of summer games and activities, while children enjoyed outdoor play, face painting, arts and crafts, and making lasting memories with their peers. The warm weather added to the festive atmosphere, making the event a highlight of the summer calendar.
Adele from the Fostering Service said:
It was wonderful to see so many carers, children and young people come together to enjoy the day. Events like these are an important way of bringing our fostering community together, helping families build connections, share experiences and create happy memories. We would like to thank everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success."
The Fostering Fun Day BBQ is one of a number of events organised throughout the year to support foster carers and the children in their care, recognising the vital role they play in providing safe, stable and nurturing homes.
