On Saturday 25 April, Bexley Fostering was delighted to join Erith Town FC for their final match of the season, bringing together fostering families for a day filled with football, fun, and community spirit.

Children from Bexley’s fostering community were welcomed as special guests and enjoyed an unforgettable match‑day experience. They walked out onto the pitch as mascots, met the players, and even took part in a friendly penalty shoot‑out during half‑time. The atmosphere was buzzing, and the children and young people embraced every moment.

This partnership between Bexley Fostering and Erith Town FC highlights a shared commitment to creating positive, meaningful experiences for children and young people. It also helped raise awareness of the growing need for more foster carers in Bexley.

Rebecca from Bexley Fostering said:

Seeing our children smiling, cheering, and being part of something so special was truly inspiring. We’re grateful to Erith Town FC for opening their doors and giving our young people a day they’ll never forget.”

Erith Town Chairman, Kevin Morris, added:

Erith Town has always recognised the importance of supporting our local community. Partnering with Foster with Bexley helps shine a light on the need for more foster carers. We were proud to welcome them to the Stanmore and look forward to working together again.”
